Changes at Florida Grand Opera

Effective July 30, Cassidy E. Fitzpatrick will be the new artistic administrator of Florida Grand Opera. a position open since the dismissal of Kelly Anderson last year.

Fitzpatrick has recently served as development & artistic associate for the Boston Lyric Opera. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in history and music from Amherst College. Fitzpatrick will work with FGO’s managing director, Kevin Mynatt, to assure the artistic vision of the company.

Florida Grand Opera will feature four operas in the coming season, Puccini’s “La bohème,” Mozart’s “The Magic Flute,” Donizetti’s “La sonnambula” and Verdi’s “La Traviata.” Performances are both at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami and also at Fort Lauderdale’s Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
